FreePPP 1.05 is the older more proven program that I have found works on just about any mac running any System version. I have chosen it for a long time over the newer FreePPP versions because it makes a connection quickly and it extremely stable. | ||

Rockstar Software's FreePPP 2.5v2 is the first version of FreePPP 2.5 that I consider stable and fast enough to replace FreePPP 1.05 on newer Macs. I am not so sure of it's performance on older Macs, but I have not heard anything negative yet. It adds features that make it a better choice for those who can take advantage of them. It is also simpler to install and configure than it's older cousin. |
